Throughout the course, students complete a series of modular worksheets. Each worksheet focuses on a specific skill or concept. The modular nature of the worksheets facilitates the creation of a completely customized curriculum for each student depending on the student's exact strengths and weaknesses. Many of the modules follow the format below.
On the front of each worksheet is a representative sample problem that requires a specific skill or concept.
Students begin by trying to solve this problem. The problem serves as an introduction to the lesson and a guage for the student's understanding of the topic.
The inside of the worksheet contains a step-by-step solution to the sample problem as well as a series of tips, reminders and simple exercises.
This material is designed to break the problem into its most basic components and teach students the skills that they’ll need to correctly
answer similar problems in the future.
On the back are several SAT style problems that require the same skills and concepts. These problems are designed to reinforce what the student has
just learned. Some are very similar to the initial problem, while others apply the concept in slightly different ways. If a student needs help,
the student can refer to the lessons inside the worksheet.
