ACT® Has Announced Additional Test Dates for Fall 2020
Following a spring filled with test date cancellations, ACT® has answered the resulting demand. Three new Saturday test dates have been added to the slate - one in September and two in October.
So as of now, the schedule includes the following test dates (new dates are marked with *):
Saturday, September 12
Sunday, September 13
Saturday, September 19*
Saturday, October 10*
Saturday, October 17*
Saturday, October 24
Sunday, October 25
Saturday, December 12
Of course, as COVID-19 rates continue to fluctuate and states continue to grapple with what is and is not permissible, these (and all test dates, really) are subject to change. That said, for now, there are now three additional weekends in the early fall that can be used as targets for test prep tutors’ score improvement plans.
We’ve said it before: strong test score submissions are going to have increased value as more and more students opt to take advantage of “Test-Optional” college applications and skip taking tests entirely. With GPAs facing diminished value due to distance learning and limitations on extracurricular opportunities, submitting a test score will likely be a key way to stand out from the crowded field of college applicants.
